School Uniform

• Unbranded uniform can be purchased from any supermarket.
• Blue pinafore dress 
• Pale blue or white polo shirts or blouses
• Royal blue fleece, jumper or cardigan 
• Black shoes 

PE kit

Children will need their PE kit to be kept in school with their name clearly labelled on the clothes and the outside of the bag.  Your child will require the following items of clothing:

Swimming is also part of our curriculum in KS2.  If your child’s year group is going swimming, letters will be sent home with details of what is required to take part in swimming lessons.

In addition:

Pupils are allowed to wear 1 pair of stud earrings.  No hoop or dangly earrings should be worn due to health and safety reasons. Please note that earrings need to be removed for PE. No plasters or tape can be used to cover pierced ears in the first six weeks due to health and safety reasons. Until earrings are able to be removed your child will be unable to take part in PE lessons.

No additional jewellery should be worn in school.  Children wearing jewellery will be asked to remove this and the teacher will hand this to parents at the end of the day.The exception to this would be a watch which should be an analogue or digital watch.  No type of smart watch is allowed to be worn in school.

No false nails or nail polish should be worn.  

No make-up should be worn.

Long hair should be tied back.  No large hair accessories.  

Any staff may discuss the policy with parents/ carers if pupils are attending school with anything which is deemed outside of our uniform policy and distracting from learning.

Nursery and Pre-school Pupils - 2 and 3 year olds

We would encourage all of our nursery pupils to wear a blue sweater and black jogging bottoms or leggings so that they feel part of our Hayes Meadow community but are able to move freely and feel comfortable.

We ask that all children in our Nursery and Preschool have a pair of named wellingtons in school so they can access our wonderful outside areas in all weathers.  Children will also need to have a clearly named coat and where possible waterproof suit.
